Houseboat rentals in Utah
Utah's houseboat vacations center on the northern half of Lake Powell, where the reservoir extends deep into Glen Canyon National Recreation Area past Bullfrog and Halls Crossing. From the Utah side, cruising means red-rock walls, side canyons that require a small boat or kayak to explore, and dark night skies far from city lights. Trip lengths run from long weekends to full weeks — Powell rewards longer itineraries because the most striking scenery is a full day or more of cruising from any single marina. Utah-side approaches also pair naturally with Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, and Grand Staircase-Escalante side trips.
Each destination below has a verified rental relationship as of 2026-07-16. Rental availability, pricing, and marina operations still change — confirm current details with the operator.
Utah requires boater education for operators born after a specific date — confirm the current threshold with the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation. Rental marinas provide a hands-on orientation before every trip.
The primary Utah-side rental season is April through October. Summer daytime highs are hot; nights are cooler than in Arizona.
